Who chooses what you see under a calendar, and what it pays for.
Sponsored by — the cells on the calendar
The “Sponsored by” cells on a calendar (the blank squares before the 1st and after the last day) are the organization's own sponsors: local businesses that paid the organization running the fundraiser for a spot. The organization chose to accept each one and can remove one at any time. Up to 6 businesses can sponsor one calendar.
A spot is $100, and a sponsor can give more in $100 steps, plus a small service fee shown before paying. It is paid to the organization through its own Stripe or Square account; CalendarFundraiser's share is set out in the Terms and shown to the organizer. Sponsorships never claim a date and never block a donor.

Presented by
A Presented by line under a calendar's title means one business is the presenting sponsor of that calendar for the life of the campaign. It is $496 plus a small checkout fee; the organization's share goes to it directly through its own Stripe or Square account, and the split is set out in thesponsor terms. Any business can buy it from the calendar page while it is open.
Sponsored
The card labelled Sponsored is our own ad slot, on every calendar. It shows a message from CalendarFundraiser about starting your own fundraiser, the presenting sponsor's card, or an ad from a business that rents the slot from us by the month. The organization running the fundraiser does not choose it and is not paid for it.
We sell these placements directly to businesses we have spoken with. We do not use an advertising network, and no advertiser code, tracker or pixel runs on any calendar page. The only thing loaded is the advertiser's logo, which we host. Clicks go through our own link so we can tell the advertiser how many people visited.

What is never allowed
Sponsors and advertisers confirm their business is not any of the following: alcohol, tobacco or vaping, cannabis, gambling, adult content, weapons, political campaigns, payday lending. A sponsor or ad in one of these categories is removed as soon as we see it.
