High School Prom Fundraiser
Pick a Date. Pay for Prom Night.
Parents, grandparents, alumni and local businesses each pick a date, and the date is the donation — Day 3 = $3. A full calendar raises $496 toward the venue, the DJ and the decorations, and the class keeps 100% of calendar donations.

What is a prom fundraiser?
A prom fundraiser is a pick-a-date calendar fundraiser run by the junior class, the student council or the prom committee to pay for prom night — the venue, the DJ, the photo booth and the decorations — so ticket prices stay low. Families, alumni and local businesses pick a date, the date is the donation, and their name goes on the calendar.
How a prom fundraiser fills in 72 hours
Real numbers, real calendar. One theatre booster club, 58 participants, two weeks, hour by hour. Every calendar fills the same way, yours included.
A 58-member roster, live on a weekday morning
Every cast and crew member got a personal link. First gift 33 minutes after launch; $114 on day 1, $381 on day 3, $610 on day 4.
All 146 gifts came through personal links
58 participants, 146 gifts, 69 donors. A big roster fills steadily rather than in one burst — the pattern is a wave every few days as each family gets around to it.

43% by day 4
$1,105 by the end of day 4. Peak hour 11 AM — parents at their desks, not at bedtime. Different audience, different clock.
Six days of $59–$112
The calendar didn't stall — it idled. Six days averaging $86 while the first wave of family had already given.
One team message produced 29% of the total
A re-send to the roster on day 12 brought $254 that day and $485 the next, the biggest day since launch, two weeks in. The nudge is not optional.

Big rosters need a second push, on schedule
Send the team message on day 5 and again on day 12. This club's re-send produced 29% of its total and the biggest day since launch.
Launch after winter break. Parents and alumni first. Nudge on day 5 and again on day 12.
Build the calendar and go live in January or February, when the venue and the DJ want deposits and before ticket prices are set. Text the link to the junior class parents and the alumni group first, then post it on the school's social accounts and read it in the morning announcements. Expect most of it in the first week, one reminder on day 5, and a re-send on day 12 — the re-send was the best day of the real high-school campaign above.
Everything a prom fundraiser needs
Built for the junior class, the student council and the prom committee that would otherwise raise the ticket price or sell one more box of candy: one calendar, one link, and every family picks a date.
The date is the amount
30 or 31 dates, each a piece of prom night — gowns in purple, red, pink and white, the tuxedos, the corsage, the limo, the crown and the disco ball. Day 15 is $15, Day 31 is $31.
Keep 100% of calendar donations
Donations land in the school's or booster club's own Stripe or Square account. Supporters cover a small service fee at checkout, shown before they pay.
Apple Pay · Google Pay · Cash App
Tap a date, pay in seconds. No account, no app download — a web link that works on a grandparent's phone and on a student's.
A calendar for every junior
Run one calendar for the class, or a team campaign where every participant gets their own calendar, link and progress, and the committee sees the totals.
Live totals & receipts
The committee watches the prom budget fill from their phones. Every supporter gets an automatic receipt.
One link, one QR
The morning announcements, the ticket table, the parent newsletter, the school's social accounts. Everything points at one calendar.
Prom fundraiser ideas that fill the calendar
- 01
Launch before ticket prices are set
The venue and the DJ want deposits in winter. A calendar that fills in January means the committee sets the ticket price knowing the big costs are covered.
- 02
Parents and alumni take the first dates
Text the link to the junior class parents and the alumni group before the school-wide post. A calendar that already has names on it is the one everyone else joins.
- 03
Ask local businesses to sponsor a spot
The tux shop, the florist, the salon and the limo company all want prom families. A business can sponsor a spot on the calendar with its logo on it, right from the public page.
- 04
Say what the money pays for
"The ballroom, the DJ, the photo booth and the decorations — so tickets cost less" gets more dates than "prom fund." Put the list in the calendar's description and in the first message.
- 05
Give each homeroom a stretch of dates
Days 1–10 for one homeroom, 11–20 for the next, 21–31 for the rest. A little homeroom-against-homeroom competition fills the calendar fast.
- 06
One calendar per junior
Run it as a team campaign. Every participant shares their own link, and the leaderboard keeps the class going.
- 07
Put the QR code on the ticket table
Every campaign gets a QR code the moment it's built. Print it for the ticket table, the parent newsletter and the lunchroom flyer — a scan lands on the calendar.
- 08
Post the calendar picture
Every campaign comes with a share picture in square and story shapes, drawn from the real calendar with the names on it. Post it on the school's accounts and in the class group chat.
- 09
Set the calendar to 2× for a bigger venue
A hotel ballroom costs more than $496. The 2× date-pricing setting makes Day 15 $30 and a full month $992 from the same dates.
- 10
Thank supporters at prom
Every claim shows a name and a message. Print the filled calendar for the entrance table — it's the thank-you list the whole class signed.

How much can a prom fundraiser raise?
All 31 dates claimed totals $496 at standard pricing; a 30-day month raises $465. Set the calendar to 2× and the same dates raise up to $992. Run it as a team campaign and every junior's calendar adds to the total.
Who runs a prom fundraiser?
Usually the junior class officers, the student council or the prom committee, with a class advisor, the PTSA or a booster club holding the payout account. Students share the link; adults receive the money.
What does a prom fundraiser cost to run?
Building and running a calendar is free. Supporters pay a small service fee at checkout, shown before they pay, and the class keeps 100% of calendar donations. The fee is described in full in our Terms of Service.
When should a prom fundraiser start?
Whenever you are ready. This is 2026: click and text, they pick a date and give. Most committees go live in January or February, when the venue and the DJ want deposits and before ticket prices are set.
Who receives the money?
The organization that connects the payout account — Stripe or Square — receives the donations: the school, the PTSA or the booster club. The committee sees the running total; nobody carries cash.
When does the money arrive?
Donations settle into your own Stripe or Square account. With Stripe, the standard schedule pays out to your bank after 7 days; Square follows its own payout schedule. Either way, payouts run on a regular cycle and go to your bank automatically.
Do supporters need an account?
No. It's a web link: tap a date, enter a name, pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay, Cash App, or card. Grandparents can do it from their phones.
