What is a Valentine's party fundraiser?

A Valentine's party fundraiser is a pick-a-date calendar fundraiser that pays for the classroom Valentine's party: the treats, the card boxes, the craft supplies, the decorations. Instead of the room parent covering it or asking every family for five dollars in an envelope, families pick a February date on a shared calendar, the date is the price, and every claim shows their name and a message for the class. The party is the deadline.

A real campaign, hour by hour

How a Valentine's party fundraiser fills in 72 hours

Real numbers, real calendar. One school PTO, one September, hour by hour. Every calendar fills the same way, yours included.

Get every classroom's link out on night one

The families who had a link on day 1 gave on day 1. The ones who got it a week later gave a week later. Same money, one week sooner, if every participant joins the first night.

Your Valentine's partyThe playbook

Launch mid-January. Every room parent in the first night. Nudge on day 5.

Build the calendar and go live on a school night in the middle of January. Every room parent shares the link in the class group text the same evening. Expect the money after bedtime in the first few nights, one team message on day 5, and the ends-in-24-hours email closes it the day before the party.

Ideas

Valentine's party fundraiser ideas that fill the calendar

  1. 01

    Launch in mid-January

The party gets planned right after winter break. A calendar that goes live in mid-January is filled before the treat order goes in.

  2. 02

Send the 14th to the teacher first

Text the link to the teacher or the room parent who always goes big and ask them to claim Valentine's Day. A claimed 14th on day one pulls the rest of the month.

  3. 03

    One classroom, one calendar

A team calendar gives each classroom its own set of dates under one campaign. Room parents share their own link, and the PTA sees every class fill on one dashboard.

  4. 04

    Valentines on the supporter wall

Every claim shows a name and a message. Ask families to write a valentine to the class in the message field, and read the wall at the party.

  5. 05

Print the QR code on the card-box flyer

Every campaign gets a QR code the moment it's built. Put it on the note that goes home about card boxes — a scan lands on the calendar.

  6. 06

Set the calendar to 2× for the whole grade

A party for five classrooms needs more than $406. The 2× date-pricing setting makes the 14th $28 and a full February $812 from the same 28 dates.

  7. 07

    Give grandparents the 20s

Days 20–28 are the high dates. Grandparents love this one — send those dates with a personal text.

  8. 08

    Keep the party free

With the calendar covering the budget, nobody is asked for five dollars in an envelope. Every gift lands with a receipt, and the room parent never fronts a dime.

  9. 09

Share it in the class group text after bedtime

The share menu sends the link by text, email, or WhatsApp in one tap. School families give late in the evening — an 8 PM share lands.

  10. 10

Post the filled calendar in the classroom

Print it and hang it by the door with every family's name. Next January, share last year's calendar with the new link and it fills itself.

Questions

Valentine's Party Fundraiser FAQ

How much can a Valentine's party fundraiser raise?

All 28 February dates claimed totals $406 at standard pricing. Set the calendar to 2× and the same 28 dates raise up to $812. Team calendars multiply that by the number of classrooms.

What are good Valentine's Day fundraiser ideas for schools?

A pick-a-date calendar needs no product and no envelope: families claim a February date and give that amount, and every claim shows a name and a valentine for the class. Run one calendar per classroom under a team campaign and the PTA covers every party at once.

What does a Valentine's party fundraiser cost to run?

Building and running a calendar is free. Givers pay a small service fee at checkout, shown before they pay, and organizers keep 100% of calendar donations. The fee is described in full in our Terms of Service.

When should a Valentine's party fundraiser start?

Whenever you are ready. This is 2026: click and text, they pick a date and give. Most groups run it in the month before the event so the money is in before it is booked.

Do we need to be a nonprofit?

No. PTAs, room parents, and teachers all run calendars. You need a payout account in your name — Stripe or Square — and that's it.

When does the money arrive?

Donations settle into your own Stripe or Square account. With Stripe, the standard schedule pays out to your bank after 7 days; Square follows its own payout schedule. Either way, payouts run on a regular cycle and go to your bank automatically — you don't have to do anything.

Do givers need an account?

No. It's a web link: tap a date, enter a name, pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay, Cash App, or card.
